iPhone and iPad App for Sharing Photos and Contacts
I had the opportunity to work on an awesome iPhone and iPad app with Steven Disbrow (president and programmer at EGO Systems, Inc.). The app is Zoom Share and it helps with easy sharing of contacts, photos, and documents between Apple mobile devices (iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad). It can’t get any easier than simply sliding a photo or v-card icon onto an image representing the person you’re sharing with, or the email icon. Here are some images of what that looks like:
The app is free for photo and contact sharing, and receiving documents. It has the option of an in-app purchase if you’d like to be able to send documents.
Steve and I agreed that the best layout for the app is to have a row with IDs for connected devices and each type of media shared – photos, contacts, and documents. By placing all items on rolling shelves, it makes it effortless to slide items from one “shelf” to the other … it’s fun … almost like dealing cards to players – one for you, and another one for you …
Connecting to the other devices is done via WiFi or BlueTooth, and if the person you’re wanting to share with is not around you – emailing from Zoom Share is always an option.
For those of you eager to see more than just photographs of the app, you can download it for free here, and we’ll have a video soon. Stay tuned!
